One of the byproducts of man’s greed is the growing use of single-use plastic for uses such as cutlery, bags and packaging. Unfortunately, plastic is not biodegradable and takes hundreds of years to break down. It leads to increased carbon content of soil (when buried in landfills) and air (when burnt and converted to toxic smoke).
A viable alternative to this indiscriminate use of plastic is paper. Not only is it fully biodegradable, but it also leads to no waste byproducts. It is the cleaner, greener, and more environmentally responsible option to consider, especially since it is versatile enough to be used for various packaging purposes such as bags, tins, pouches, envelopes, cups, straws and more. This, combined with a growing common consciousness had led to an exponential growth in the adoption of paper as a preferred material to combat the harms of plastic, while having the same utility and providing the same level of convenience for end users.
